“Matter of Time” looks at inspiration and processes used in a garden inspired series of work.

This video provides a brief overview of the process used in creating a mixed media work of art, “Beyond the Blue”. Inkjet pigment ink, acrylic paints and gels, and laser-cut rice paper are combined on aluminum panels in this semi-abstract work to capture the depth and luminosity of water.

This video covers a few steps in the production of “Lumination”. A digital image file has been split into two parts; one is printed on metal, one is laser-cut out of rice paper. In the video you will see them joined together to create the bottom sections of the 27 x 44 inch mixed media work on aluminum. After viewing, you may enjoy looking at the finished work in the Open Space Series.

This rough video has no sound. It shows various sketching stages in the pment of the cut screenwork “Breakthrough”. This piece was developed using a Universal Laser System laser to cut prototypes out of paper. The final piece was cut out of 1/4 inch Baltic Birch at West Coast Waterjet, as seen toward the end of the video.
